Two educational concerts for low-income elementary students through Classics4Kids

​

“Classics 4 Kids was able to benefit 107 students in grades K, 1, 2 and 4 from Cabrillo Elementary, a Title 1 low-income school in Point Loma. We provided bus transportation and tickets to attend our professional educational orchestra concert, "Nature's Music", at the Balboa Theatre in May 2023. These students were able to learn about how nature inspires the arts and the importance of preserving San Diego's ecosystem through storytelling and music provided by the award-winning Classics Philharmonic Orchestra and Conductor Dana Zimbric.”

“Point Loma Summer Concerts has been a major contributor to the Correia Jr. High Music Department since 2006 by providing funding for music, instruments, and our tutoring program that pairs students with professional musicians. Thank you PLSC, you make a difference!”
